Controlling Dust Mite Allergens In Bedding

One thing we can not stress enough is the importance of controlling the dust mite allergens found in your sheets, pillow cases, blankets and comforters. Even if you have your mattress covered with dust mite proof covers, you still have to take care of the bedding.

Studies have shown washing in very hot water (140 degrees) will kill the majority if not all of the dust mites found in the bedding. The problem is most water heaters in homes today are set to 105 to 107 degrees for safety reasons. You can only find that hot of water in commercial washers.

We carry a couple of products that are made specifically for this problem. If you like your laundry detergent you can add Allerpet DeMite laundry additive to it and kill all the dust mite allergens. The Allersearch Allerwash is a highly concentrated anti-allergen laundry detergent that will take care of the allergens. Both of these products are effective in not only hot water but cold and ware as well.

I would also like to point out that hat water is very hard on the
fibers of the fabric and will fade colors quicker and hot water washing
runs up the electric bill.

Wishing you the best of health

I recommend to wash your sheets, pillows and blankets in very hot water, enclose the mattress in top and sides with plastic cover, and use synthetic fabrics. And reduce temperature, clean daily, frequently wash, remove carpet, and furnace air filters. It's great to know that you have a products that will finally solve everyone's problem in dust mites. Thanks for sharing your article. Have a nice day!

Your better off using either Demite laundry additive or Allersearch Allergen wash. They both work in hot, cold and warm water. In fact you can save a few buck on the electric by washing in cold. It will also keep the sheets in better shape.
