Bed Bugs .. Now Available At You Favorite Retail Store

I'm sure many of you saw the news last week about Abercrombie & Fitch in New York having to close a couple of their stores because of bedbugs. Read article about bed bug infestation .

In the article it said CEO Michael S. Jeffries fired off a letter to New York's Mayor Bloomberg stating he is concerend about the city's growing problem with bedbugs. All of this comes as no surprise to us at the Allergy Store.

For the past couple of years we have been seeing an increase in customer questions about bedbugs; how to kill them, how to stop them, how do you get them and are they going to hurt them.  We have worked with our manufactures of our dust mite covers to come up with mattress covers just for bedbugs. Our bedbug covers have been tested and are certified to protect you and your bedding from bedbugs.

They are made from 100% polyester knit combined with a special urethane membrane. Bedbugs can't chew through this cover. Several of the manufactures out there will tell you that non-membrane fabrics will work just as well but to be honest we just don't believe it. I personally want something on my mattress that I know will protect me from bedbugs.

Also we would like to point out if you do have a problem with bedbugs and someone want to spray poison on you mattress you should tell them to leave. We have been told by customers that the pest control company told them it was ok to spray a poison or insecticide on the bed and then sleep on it. that is just plain crazy.

There is a whole process that you need to do to go through to get rid of bedbugs and putting a high quality bedbug cover on your mattress, box springs and pillows is just part of it. In some cases it may even be necessary to toss your mattress. We hope it does not come to that!

Wishing you the best of health
